The Blue Lake Rancheria (BLR) Tribal Police Department (TPD) and BLR Fire Department recently participated in the 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Northern California. The Torch Run is a nationwide tradition that brings together law enforcement officers and local communities in support of Special Olympics athletes and programs. BLR TPD and Fire Department participated in the torch run alongside personnel from the Eureka Police Department, Arcata Police Department, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, and several other law enforcement agencies throughout Humboldt County. The “Flame of Hope” torch went on to be carried to the Special Olympics Summer Games at Santa Clara University. Thank you to all of the agencies who participated!
