FEMA Courses held at Blue Lake Rancheria

On 7/15/2025-7/16/2025, Blue Lake Rancheria hosted RDPC instructors, who came to instruct FEMA emergency management courses. These courses included an all hazards in Tribal Nations course, as well as a hazardous material course on day two. On the second day, students had the opportunity to try on hazardous materials (HAZMAT) suits and learn more about the personal protective equipment (PPE) that is used to handle hazardous materials.

Many of the courses hosted by Blue Lake Rancheria are FREE! These emergency management courses provide participants with the tools and connections to help prepare their communities and strengthen resilience within them. The courses also give participants an opportunity to learn about emergency management through hands-on, involved activities. The first response to an emergency is always going to be local and time-sensitive. Will you be prepared to respond in an emergency situation?
