Big things are happening at Leavey Ranch!
We’ve built a greenhouse and established a native plant nursery to help restore local ecosystems and preserve indigenous plant species—critical work for protecting biodiversity, supporting pollinators, and building climate resilience.
Earlier this summer, we also captured A Music Moment featuring Cal Poly Humboldt College Corps fellows Austin McAskill and Zach Case, who have completed their year working with the Blue Lake Rancheria’s Environmental Department. It was a joyful, music-filled afternoon out at the ranch!
Huge thanks to Grace Poitras, BLR’s Daluviwi’ Community Garden Manager for coordinating the session and also to our West End neighbors for graciously allowing us to film with their cattle and horses.
