On April 4, 2025, ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ฒ๐ด๐ต๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ด and her K-9 partner ๐จ๐ป๐ผ of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office were officially evaluated for both drug detection and apprehension work by ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฒ๐ณ ๐๐น๐ผ๐๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐๐ผ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ of the Blue Lake Rancheria Tribal Police Department. Deputy Chief Stokes is one of the only California POST certified K-9 team evaluators in Humboldt County.
K-9s are a vital part of law enforcementโtrained to assist in search and rescue, narcotics detection, suspect tracking, and officer protection. Our police departments deeply value these highly skilled partners, recognizing them as both trusted teammates and essential assets in keeping our communities safe.
