Kyle Mayr has now graduated from the police academy, additionally receiving an Emergency Vehicle Operations Award from College of the Redwoods. Kyle will now be starting a 4-month long field training program with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office that will effectively cross-deputize him across jurisdictions.
In 2018 the ๐๐น๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฃ๐ผ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ entered into a cross-deputation agreement with the ๐๐๐บ๐ฏ๐ผ๐น๐ฑ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ณ๐ณ’๐ ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ. โThe training opportunities Iโve received have given me the opportunity to learn and to play a role in the protection and safety of Blue Lake Rancheria. In my experience as a Reserve Officer and Tribal Police Officer, Iโve learned that very important qualities to have for success in this field are patience and compassion, and I always try to put this into practice. Blue Lake Rancheria has treated me like family from the very start, and Iโm excited to play a role where I can protect and serve the people who have treated me so well.โ โ ๐๐๐น๐ฒ ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ฟ
