🌟 Today, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗔𝘁𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀, 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗞. 𝗛𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝗸𝗼𝗴𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗱, and 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗞𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆 from Blue Lake Rancheria’s Tribal Education Team, are proud to be at McKinleyville High School for the 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝘀 (SiBW) Native Youth Conference!
This powerful event, hosted by the McKinleyville High School’s Native American Club, brings together Indigenous students from Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino, and Trinity counties. It’s a space created for Native youth, by Native youth — a place to celebrate culture, share knowledge, and inspire each other to pursue higher education and meaningful careers.
This year’s theme, “𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲,” highlights the importance of balancing tradition and ambition, ensuring that Native voices, leadership, and futures thrive for generations to come.
We are honored to support and uplift the next generation of Indigenous leaders who will carry our cultures, traditions, and communities forward.
