Sheriff’s Office K9 Evaluation

On April 4, 2025, ๐——๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐˜‚๐˜๐˜† ๐— ๐—ฒ๐—ด๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—›๐˜„๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด and her K-9 partner ๐—จ๐—ป๐—ผ of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office were officially evaluated for both drug detection and apprehension work by ๐——๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐˜‚๐˜๐˜† ๐—–๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ณ ๐—™๐—น๐—ผ๐˜†๐—ฑ ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐˜€ of the Blue Lake Rancheria Tribal Police Department. Deputy Chief Stokes is one of the only California POST certified K-9 team evaluators in Humboldt County. ๐Ÿพ

K-9s are a vital part of law enforcementโ€”trained to assist in search and rescue, narcotics detection, suspect tracking, and officer protection. Our police departments deeply value these highly skilled partners, recognizing them as both trusted teammates and essential assets in keeping our communities safe.
