On Friday, January 30th, Powers Creek Brewery was honored to participate in the 2026 Greater Eureka Chamber Business Awards “Boldt Gala” by serving Powers Creek Brewery beer at the event. The Greater Eureka Chamber Business Awards is a yearly awards ceremony which highlights and celebrates our region’s most inspiring businesses and community leaders. Dylan Schatz is from Humboldt, and started his journey into brewing at Mad River Brewery back in 1999. Over the years, Dylan has gained immeasurable experience in the art of brewing, serving as Brewmaster and Production Manager for Mad River Brewery from 2010-2019. Dylan departed from Mad River with a dream of starting up a nano brewery, and was recruited by Blue Lake Rancheria in the spring of 2019 to help realize this dream, which led to the creation of Powers Creek Brewery.
Being a nano brewery, Powers Creek Brewery is able to operate in a unique way, prioritizing innovation and a consistent selection of new flavors over the traditional model of larger breweries. Most breweries are production focused, so they usually have a set portfolio of styles available to meet production demands. Powers Creek Brewery delivers a new, unique flavor every single batch.
