Remembering our beautiful Savannah Kiana Kindred, whose spirit was as vast and radiant as the ocean she loved so much. Today Savannah would have been 32 years old.
Savannah lived with a rare kind of wonder — she found joy in the stars above, in the rhythm of music, in the pages of books, and in the laughter she shared with family and friends. Her heart was always open, her smile always welcoming, and her adventurous spirit carried her to new places and experiences, always embracing life with curiosity and passion.
She had a way of making everyone feel truly seen and deeply loved, and that spirit of kindness is what we will always carry forward. Even in her passing, Savannah gave the greatest gift — the gift of life. Through organ donation, she touched the lives of five individuals who were given more time, more hope, and more moments because of her. Her light continues to shine through them, and through all of us who were blessed to know and love her.
“There isn’t a day that goes by when I don’t think about her. She’s in the back of my mind with every decision I make and every moment I spend with my family and our siblings. I see her in every butterfly that crosses my path, every dolphin I spot at the beach, and every Stevie Nicks song that plays. Happy birthday to my older sister!” –Chloe Kindred, Blue Lake Rancheria Tribal Member
“Happy Birthday, Savannah. You were a star child – believing in mermaids, in magic, and in the cosmic truth that we are made of stardust. In your 21 years here, you reminded us that laughter is as cosmic as it is human, that wit can spark like a meteor, and that love, when fiercely given, shines brighter than any constellation. Today you would have been 32. Though your journey on this earthly plane ended too soon, the atoms of your being and the energy of your spirit did not vanish. They returned to the cosmos, where you now dance among the stars you always looked to. You carried the universe within you, and now you shine as part of it forever. To simply look up into the night sky, we can see your brilliance stitched across it. A radiant part of the universe, reminding us to never stop believing in the magic that surrounds us. Happy Birthday, Little Chick.” –Mandi Kindred, Blue Lake Rancheria Tribal Member
