From 3/11 through 3/12, the ๐๐น๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ (๐๐๐ฅ) Resiliency Training & Innovation Center (RTIC) hosted an ICS 400 emergency management training. The Incident Command System (ICS) is a nationally recognized and standardized command response structure for the control and coordination of emergencies. The ICS structure has been implemented across government, public safety, and private sectors, and has been commonly adapted in the fields of EMS, firefighting, healthcare, manufacturing, education, and in corporate settings. ICS 400 is needed in many prerequisites for other courses that delve into more complex topics in emergency management. These advanced incident response courses are available to anyone in the community for ๐๐ฅ๐๐! If youโd like to start learning about incident management or just want to get some valuable and applicable knowledge, IS-100, 200, 700, and 800 are prerequisite courses for many of the more advanced courses like ICS 300 & 400.
