Blue Lake Rancheria would like to congratulate Ana E. Avila, who just graduated from College of the Redwoods, achieving an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on Science Exploration! Additionally, Ana completed all of the prerequisites for the nursing program at College of the Redwoods and graduated from the Emergency Medical Technician program! Ana has been hard at work these last few years. In the fall of 2021, she decided to return to school to pursue her dream of working in the medical field, and learned to balance full-time work with attending online classes for these last four years. In 2023, Ana also launched her own mobile bartending business, Bartenders with Attitude, building on many years of previous experience in the food and beverage industry.
On July 27th of this year, Ana earned her Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from College of the Redwoods while also marrying the love of her life, Jace Baldosser. Looking to the future, Ana is not just stopping there. She is currently pursuing Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical Billing & Coding certifications with plans to apply to the Nursing School at College of the Redwoods in the spring of 2027. Ana has been working on a lot over the last few years, and Blue Lake Rancheria can’t wait to see where it takes them! Congratulations Ana!
“After the loss of my stepdad before the COVID-19 pandemic and with encouragement from my husband, Jace Baldosser — who holds a master’s degree in business and inspires me daily — I decided to return to school to pursue my dream of working in the medical field. As a first-generation Latina and daughter of immigrant parents, this journey has not been easy. I have worked hard my entire life, just as my parents did, to chase the American dream. This path hasn’t been easy — late nights, tears, and moments of doubt have all been part of it — but my motto has always been: you play, you pay. I believe in working hard and celebrating life’s victories along the way. It’s never too late to chase a dream.” –Ana E. Avila | Blue Lake Rancheria Community Member
